Decks
Abandoned Deck makes it easier to dig through to find your powerful low-rank cards.
Erratic Deck might start with more low-rank cards that Hack can affect.
Magic Deck's Fools can be used to duplicate Strength cards to turn Aces into 2s, Death cards to copy strong low-rank cards, or apply a powerful enhancement like Glass to multiple low-rank cards.
Zodiac Deck can be used to find more Tarot cards to enhance low-rank cards or ways to copy them.
Ghost Deck can find powerful seal-applying Spectral cards, and Aura, which can make your low-rank cards more powerful.
Poker Hands
Hands that play five low-rank cards work best, as you want the card effects triggering as many times as possible. Especially powerful are Five of a Kind and Flush Five, since they are easily reachable when you are duplicating many of the same powerful cards, though Full House is a good earlier hand.
Jokers
- Any Joker that triggers an effect when a low-rank card is played works well with Hack, as the effects it gives will be doubled. Particularly noteworthy are
Fibonacci, which gives a large +Mult boost to three of Hack's retriggers, and 
Wee Joker, which scales twice as fast on the retriggered 2s. - Jokers that generate Tarots, like
Cartomancer and 
Vagabond, are very helpful to making Hack work, as many Tarots either enhance cards or can be used to make more low-rank cards. - Jokers that give X Mult from cards are very useful, as the cards that trigger them will do so twice. There aren't as many that work with low-rank cards, but some examples are
Bloodstone, 
Ancient Joker, and 
Walkie Talkie. - If one has enough X Mult from their cards, another retrigger Joker is very useful to combine with Hack. This will usually be either
Dusk or 
Seltzer, though 
Blueprint and 
Brainstorm can also be used to copy Hack for a less conditional retrigger. One can also use 
Showman to try and find another Hack. 
Trading Card and 
DNA make it easier to draw your useful low-rank cards. DNA is particularly useful, as it can copy a powerful low-rank card with an enhancement, edition, and seal.
Hiker has incredible synergy with Hack, as not only will Hiker scale cards twice as fast, but the retriggering of the cards will also give their chips again. 
Lucky Cat can also scale twice as fast, since the low-rank lucky cards it will be using to scale have twice as many chances.- As Glass cards are so good with Hack's retriggers,
Glass Joker can be a nice addition to still get value when they break. 
Certificate can be used to try and find a low-rank card (or a King/Ace that can be Strengthed) with a powerful seal, or purple seals to generate Tarots for the low-rank cards. However, if it adds too many high-rank cards, Hack will become less valuable, so the risk and reward must be carefully assessed.

- A "hack" is a slang term to refer to both a mediocre comedian and/or re-used, obvious, or stolen jokes from other comedians (explaining the presence of the comedian in the card's artwork). This repetition of low-quality jokes is reflected in the retriggering of low-rank cards.

How do you unlock the invisible Joker in Balatro?
Unlock Requirement Win a game while never having more than 4 jokers. Invisible Joker is a rare Joker that can be sold after two rounds to duplicate a random Joker in the players inventory. The copied Joker will retain almost all the properties of the original including any scaling Edition and Stickers.
What are the different types of Jokers in Balatro?
Jokers have four different rarities denoting how likely they are to appear in a given run: Common Uncommon Rare and Legendary. In general higher rarity jokers can be more powerful but when a joker has no direct analogue of a higher rarity it can be difficult to determine if it is better.
