If you want to unlock Cavendish Joker in Balatro, you first need to get the Gros Michel Joker and destroy it.

After you successfully destroy Gros Michel (or it successfully destroys itself), Cavendish can appear in the store as a purchasable Joker during that run. It might appear in your next shop. Or, it might appear later. Sometimes, it may appear never.
What Does Cavendish Joker Do in Balatro?
Cavendish Joker gives you a permanent x3 Mult (multiplier), but it has a tiny downside:
“1 in 1000 chance this card is destroyed at the end of the round.”
Let’s be real: 1 in 1000 is already a rare occurrence, and when you’re playing Balatro, you’ll most probably play less than 10 rounds in total. Is Cavendish Joker Good in Balatro?
Cavendish is one of the best Jokers in the game, but it doesn’t work well on its own. If you can support Cavendish with other cards that increase Mult (multiplier) with flat values, that would be great. An even better support for Cavendish is another Joker that has an “x” multiplier because those can add up to insane numbers. x3 and x3 add up to x9 alone if your starting Mult is 1.
