The origin of the name “roulette” is French and it means “little wheel”. Jokers are special cards at the core of Balatros gameplay. Instead of being included in Decks and played alongside standard cards Jokers are obtained through the Shop and occasionally other means and are held in the players dedicated joker slots until the player sells them or they are destroyed.
Showman when equipped allows duplicates of other Jokers Planet Cards and Tarot to show up in the shop and Booster Packs. Normally when players already have a particular Joker Planet Cards or Tarot in their possessions the shop will never have a duplicate but with Showman equipped this is now possible.
1 Blueprint Blueprint is perhaps the strongest Joker in Balatro thanks to its extremely versatile effect. Although Blueprint doesnt actually do anything on its own being able to double up on certain powerful Jokers will let you double your scores or other significant effects.Mar 15 2024
Jokers have four different rarities denoting how likely they are to appear in a given run: Common Uncommon Rare and Legendary. In general higher rarity jokers can be more powerful but when a joker has no direct analogue of a higher rarity it can be difficult to determine if it is better.
